THE SHOPS AT EAST PRAIRIE (In Development)

The traditional Midwest village of the late 19th and early 20th century mixed in with a few very contemporary facades established the design precedence for this project.  Various architectural styles such as Italianate, Second Empire, Art Moderne, Neoclassical Revival and even Miesian Modern suggest that this was a village developed over a one hundred year period.  Materials that reflect these various time periods include masonry, stone, exterior insulation and finish systems and polished tile and marble.  The lifestyle center itself is planned along a dumbbell pattern with department stores occupying the end positions with a cinema complex and an open air village center positioned as the physical and visual center of the village.
