THE SHOPS AT LAKE HAVASU

The forms, shapes, materials and colors reflect the abstraction of those basic elements found in the surrounding natural environment.  Cylinders, squares and circles punctuate rectilinear facades, accenting the significance of key points.  Diagonals cross and intersect hop-scotch sidewalk patterns rendered in colors representative of desert floors beyond.  The vision of dancing streams of water cools the senses and calms the soul.  Ground textures vary from the rugged patterns of masonry pavers to the smooth undulations of stained concrete.  Colors, abstracted from the desert, reflect in visual delight the rays of the sun.  All are embraced by the sway of date palms blown by the desert wind.  All dance in gentle harmony with one another, locked within physical constraints.  All represent a vision of the future reflected through the beauty of the natural environment.
