CONFERENCE CENTER
at BLACK BEAR GOLF CLUB
The design of the Conference Center at Black Bear Golf Club is inspired by heavy timber craftsman lodge style architecture. The exterior finishes are influenced by the existing materials of the adjacent Black Bear Golf Clubhouse. Distinct architectural elements of heavy timber brackets, out-lookers, craftsman style light fixtures, board and batten siding, shakes, standing seam metal roof and salvaged brick are used. Exterior finishes are carried into the interior to give an outdoor feel. Wood look porcelain tile floors are used to provide a durable floor finish.
The Conference Center is designed to accommodate 200 people in a conference or dining setting along with a commercial kitchen. The exterior has a covered front plaza and entry area and an expansive rear plaza that is partially covered to integrate outdoor spaces. The rear plaza has a seating wall that is combined with a dining counter surface. Additionally, the rear plaza has a 38-foot-high tower that is a focal point from various locations on the golf course.
Both the interior dining room or the exterior plaza would be an exceptional venue for a wide variety of events from business or sports conferences, family reunions to weddings. The building is designed with audio visual equipment to accommodate visitors inside and outside the building.
