LEE JUNIOR HIGH GYMNASIUM
The citizen's group responsible for the initial gymnasium program stipulated, along with the obvious need to replace antiquated facilities, that Architecture+ address sustainability issues.
The design team determined that daylighting be a primary component of the gymnasium's design. Not only does daylighting have attributes of positive life-cycle costing, but it also has been proven to be beneficial to the psychological aspects of the student environment.
