SWARTZ FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH RENOVATION
The Swartz First Baptist Church (SFBC) is an existing structure built in 1972 on Louisiana Hwy 139 in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. The scope of work is an interior renovation that adds two new doors at the front of the sanctuary, modifies and redesigns the front wall of the sanctuary, modifies the existing platform, and removes the existing pews. The seating scheme that was selected has 506 moveable chairs in the layout.
The sanctuary lighting has been upgraded to new LED light fixtures, the existing restrooms have been modernized, a new covered entry element on the east elevation facing Highway 139 was added. The design picks up on the existing interior arched truss forms. Additionally, the existing covered entry elements on the north and south elevations were removed and replaced, their design echoing the new, large east entry element.
